Cultural Diversity World Day Online Cook Off

Have you got a favourite recipe from your culture?

In celebration of World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development on 21 May, we’re holding a competition to share recipes from around the globe. The 5 winners will get the chance to cook their special recipe at the commercial kitchen in the Belmont Hub which is due to open later this year.

If you wish to enter,
complete the form below to give details and a photo of the recipe, how it fits into your cultural heritage or background and why it’s special to you. Once the competition closes on 1 June 1 2020, entries will then be taken to a public vote here on #BeConnected. The full terms and conditions are available here.

We can’t wait to see the delicious submissions!

Backyard Treasure Hunt

What can you find in your backyard or around your garden?

City of Belmont children are encouraged to take part in our backyard treasure hunt to see what cool nature items can be found close by.

Use the checklist to cross off what you find and upload a photo collage to the entry form on this page to go into the running to win a Waterwise garden starter kit. Competition closes 5pm Friday 19 June 2020. Read the full terms and conditions here.

Belmonsters Memory Game

Have you been wondering what the Belmonsters have been getting up to? They've created a memory game!

The Belmonster Memory Game is a card game where the cards are laid face down on a surface and then flipped over two at a time. The aim is to turn over as main pairs of matching cards as you can in order to win! All you need to do is download the cards here and cut them out using the guidelines.

This is a fun way to get the family together and build your memory skills at the same time!

Neighbour Card

What's On In Belmont

The City has reviewed and updated the terms of reference for our What's On In Belmont Facebook group (operated by the City of Belmont).

We encourage this group to be a positive forum for the Belmont community to share what is happening and to help people connect with each other while we are physically distancing.

Posts can include how your local neighbourhood is helping each other, general positive messages of encouragement, and calls for support or volunteers willing to assist others.

You need to join the group to be able to post, although anyone can view the page. Please note this is for content or information located/relevant to the City of Belmont area (Ascot, Belmont, Cloverdale, Kewdale, Redcliffe, Rivervale.)

Community Chalk Program

The City is bringing colour to your neighbourhood! Watch this space for our upcoming chalk art project.
