In terms of traffic flow entry into Central Ave from both directions of Great Eastern Hwy will need to be considered. This may require either traffic lights to be installed or a slip lane and ability to turn when highway upgrade of this section of Hwy is considered in the next 5 years.

I would suggest minor modifications to the roads proposed surrounding the new train station. A second bus-only exit should be provided at the eastern end of the interchange for buses departing the station heading via Dunreath Dr. It only needs to be a simple opening to provide a safer and more direct access to Dunreath Dr. This will reduce unnecessary bus movements around the interchange and onto the "main street" of Central Ave to only what is necessary (buses which will use Second St). To support this additional exit, a right turn only for buses/taxis etc should be provided for buses to access Dunreath Dr. The reduction in buses doing unnecessary loops around the interchange and on Central Ave will enhance the sense of place for pedestrians and promote more activation within the immediate station plaza. This added bus-only exit would also reduce any potential traffic problems that may occur at the Central Ave and Dunreath Dr intersection given that it is the only primary entry/exit road into DA6.
