Belvidere Street works and construction
The construction contract for the Belvidere Streetscape Revitalisation Project has been awarded to BOS Civil.
Stage 1 works are commencing in April 2026, with full project completion anticipated for December 2026. Standard hours of work are 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Local businesses, landowners and residents will be kept regularly informed of project updates, key stages and progress.
Works are being undertaken in stages to minimise disruption and support strong, targeted engagement with community members in each area.
The timeline of works may adjust as each stage progresses across the year.
Traffic management
Pedestrians, cyclists and footpaths
A dedicated 1.5m pedestrian zone will be between the temporary fencing and shop fronts so you can still walk safely along Belvidere Street and access all businesses.
In instances where footpaths or pedestrians crossings are closed, there will be clear signs in place and a detour route available for you to follow.
Signs will also be displayed on the fencing to direct you to the entrance for local shops and services.
Public transport
All public transport and school bus services will continue while works are underway.
Temporary bus stop relocations and route detours have been arranged by Transperth, LGC Traffic Management and BOS Civil.
Temporary bus stop relocation
Bus stop 14325 (Belvidere Street after Gardiner Street) will be temporarily relocated across the road from Bus Stop 14322 (Belvidere Street after Somers Street).
Signs will be displayed directing pedestrians to the temporary bus stop location. The walk between locations is approximately 2 minutes along the footpath (150 meters).
Bus route detour: 935
Bus services will be detoured down Keymer Street during Stage 1 and Stage 2 of works.
Information on bus detours and temporary bus stop relocations is available when using the Transperth Journey Planner.
Parking facilities
All business and public parking on the rear side of businesses will continue to be available. Rear access to businesses will not be impacted.
Street parking on adjacent streets will also be available.
Street parking bays in the active works areas on Belvidere Street will be decommissioned so that construction can take place.
