We understand our local community value a broad range of active outdoor recreation options that are free, fun and cater for various age groups.

We've received a request for an outdoor basketball pad/hoop at Centenary Park, so are seeking feedback from the wider community to gauge the level of support and interest.

The feedback you and nearby residents provide will help guide the next steps of the project.

The proposed location has been selected to accommodate space limitations, various existing functions around the reserve (passive and active), and the distance from neighbouring residents.

This site was selected as the preferred location due to:

• Available shade
• Relatively level area in comparison to other potential areas of the park
• Visible for park users and their safety
• Connections to the existing footpath for accessibility
• Close to amenities (toilets, water fountain, car park)
• Considers potential future expansion of the cricket nets & future club storage facility.
• Closest adjacent resident (on Daly Street) is measured at 72 meters.
