The renewal works at the Faulkner Park Precinct Ornamental Lakes have reached an exciting milestone with the completion of the lakes' de-watering phase.

This phase of the project included completion of most earthworks, the new lake edge steppers, regrading of the lakes' contours and re-shaping of the island in line with the new waterwise design.

The structural frame for the new pedestrian bridge is installed, and preliminary irrigation works have been completed across the site.

The old footpaths around the site have been removed, and the contractor has completed 75% of new paths for improved accessibility.

Next up in the project is the installation of subframes for the new shelters and decking, turf replacement, and continued progress on the footpaths, earthworks and bridge installation.
