Miles Park Lighting Upgrades

Improved lighting for our sporting clubs

We’re upgrading the lighting at Miles Park.

This upgrade will enhance the park’s amenity for sporting clubs and local visitors, providing better lighting for both training and games.

Works will include replacing current lighting to 100 lux energy efficient floodlighting.

The park will remain open for casual use. Visitors are encouraged to exercise caution around any work areas.

The contractor will work to minimise noise, and all works will take place Monday to Friday, from 7am to 4pm.

This project has been jointly funded by the WA Government and the City of Belmont.

This project is part of the WA Government’s PlayOn WA, an exciting initiative to deliver 2,030 community infrastructure items across WA by 2030.

Funding

The project is included in the City's capital works budget. Grant funding is secured through the WA Government's PlayOn initiative.

Works

Works commence at each of the lights. Works are due to commence early April.

Testing

Lighting will be tested to ensure connectivity, functionality, and asset quality.
Timeline item 4 - complete

Project completion

Once approved, the entire park will be available to the public and the new lights will be in operation.
