We look forward to providing updates on this long-term project as it evolves.
Project objectives

To upgrade the existing facility to ensure it meets the current and future needs of our sporting clubs.
-
To explore opportunities to enhance the space, including connection of the community centre with the oval.
Business Case
The site investigations and input from stakeholders during the consultation phase informed three options to best meet user needs.
The options were presented at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 24 September 2024, and Option 1 was endorsed by Council.
-
Option 1
Endorsed by Council.
Rebuild new facility
A full demolition of the existing site, with a ground up approach to redesign, ensuring the best design outcome that will address all key stakeholder needs.
-
Option 2
Expand existing facility
involves modifying and expanding on the existing building to find a solution that addresses the key project drivers. This option focusses on expansion of the existing buildings to address most of the project objectives.
-
Option 3
Minor refurbishment
A low intervention scenario, this option involves only modifying the existing building to accommodate minor renewal works. This scenario would address the primary current needs within the limitations of the existing structure.
