Our Streetscape Enhancement Strategy was developed to facilitate the continued and enhanced provision of safe, high-quality, sustainable, functional, shaded and healthy streetscapes.
Our vision is to provide streetscapes that will be safe, sustainable and provide for all users.
The walkability of our neighbourhoods will improve and be supported by a shaded tree canopy, with attractive and functional infrastructure, landscaping, and street furniture than enhances daily life experiences.

Streetscape Planting Program
Landscaping and planting plays an important role in supporting green, vibrant and sustainable streetscapes. This includes street trees, medians, verges, roundabouts and entry statements.
There are over 20 new landscaping projects and 8 infill planting projects scheduled to take place during the 2024 winter planting season.
Key landscaping site works
Tuesday 18 June to Friday 21 June
Abernethy Road / Fairbrother Street intersection medians
Landscaping works will include removal of existing vegetation and planting of native vegetation on the four intersection medians.
Works are scheduled to commence on Tuesday 18 June and will take approximately 4 days (weather permitting). The site will be active between 7am and 3pm daily with traffic management in place.
