Broad engagement for the Belmont Trust Land - Future Vision Project is now officially underway with the survey and deliberative panel expressions of interest forms now available for the community to complete on the project page. Survey

The survey takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete and is designed to understand the community's current use of the land, the elements they would like to change or keep the same and how they think any changes should be funded. The results of the survey, along with feedback obtained at pop-up stalls, will be used to draft the interim report to be used by the deliberative panel. The survey will close on Sunday 13 March 2022.

Deliberative Panel Expressions of Interest

A 40 person panel which is a representative sample of the whole City of Belmont community will be convened for the second part of the engagement process.

The panel is being recruited in two ways - 20% through the EOI process and 80% through an independent social research company. As the final random selection is done by the independent social research company, based on meeting the required demographic profile of the panel, completing an EOI form does not guarantee a place on the panel.

Being part of this panel is more than just a chance to share your ideas and insights. If selected to join, panel members will:

• Be invited to attend workshops to learn about Belmont Trust in detail;
• Work with the other members of the panel to explore and evaluate a number of factors and options involved in the decision-making process;
• Give feedback which will be compiled into a final report and evaluation and then presented to the City of Belmont Councillors as Trustees of the Belmont Trust and shared with the wider City of Belmont community.
