A variation has been made to scope of The Esplanade Foreshore stabilisation and landscaping project.

When mobilising the site with the contractor and funding bodies, it was noted the drainage system beneath the proposed fishing jetty area was due to be upgraded in the near future.

To prevent disturbing the site during both projects, works in this area have been removed from the upcoming stabilisation and landscaping works and will be re-visited during the drainage system upgrade.

This includes installation of the fishing platform, drainage upgrade and rock revetment to the left of the project site.

The variation is currently being reviewed with the contractor to determine a revised date for works.
