Current plans

Strategic Community Plan

The Strategic Community Plan is prepared in collaboration with our community. It is a plan for action on how we will deliver our shared vision for the future.

We spoke to our community extensively to understand their priorities, needs and aspirations. It's clear that our community is passionate about the City of Belmont and wants to build on the strengths of our community to create a liveable, productive and sustainable future.

The Strategic Community Plan has a minor review after two years and a major review every four years. The current version of our Strategic Community Plan spans 2024 to 2034.

Corporate Business Plan

The Corporate Business Plan is an important part of our Integrated Planning and Reporting (IPR) Framework and guides the implementation of the Strategic Community Plan.

The Corporate Business Plan translates the aspirations and strategies of the Strategic Community Plan into operational priorities and indicates how they will be resourced over a four-year period. The focus of this plan is how the Strategic Community Plan will be delivered through services, capital works, projects and activities.

The Corporate Business Plan is reviewed annually.

Informing and supporting strategies

There are a number of informing and supporting strategies that work together with the Strategic Community Plan and Corporate Business Plan. They often focus on a particular subject area and outline key actions that we will deliver over multiple years.

Evaluation and engagement

Community Perception Scorecard

We regularly ask our community to rate us and our services to understand how we are tracking.

The Community Perception Scorecard is run by an independent research company who work with Local Governments across the country. This means our results can be benchmarked against similar organisations.

The results of the scorecards help us understand what we are doing well, where we can improve, and what matters most to you and your community.

Reporting

Read our Annual Report

Each year we develop an Annual Report to report against actions in our strategic plans.

You can read the latest version of our Annual Report on our website, as well as previous reports.

Hard copies of last year's annual report are available for viewing in the Ruth Faulkner Library or on request at the Civic and Administration Centre.
